As promised I am updating you all on Caleb's progress after a weekend of Isomil (Soy) formula. He is doing so much better. He went to our babysitter's house on Friday while I took Payton to the doctor and slept from 9-11:15am. She said that he only threw up a little bit after his first feed in the morning. He catnapped most of the afternoon on Friday. He slept from 7pm until 3am, took 6oz and went right back to sleep until 7am. He napped from 8:45-11:15am and again catnapped the rest of the afternoon. We had another night of sleep from 7pm-3am and he got up for the day at 7am on Sunday. Sunday he napped from 8:45-10:30am, and was a little fussy in the late morning/early afternoon. I come to find out that he was having a hard time pooping. I remember from Payton that soy formula has a tendency to constipate babies. Nothing I can't handle. Been dealing with that with Payton since she was 6 months old. Last night Caleb slept from 6:45pm-4:30am, the he got up for the day at 7am. In between all that sleep time he was content as can be. He played in his bouncey seat, jumperoo, and on the floor. He rarely threw up. When he did spit up it was a small amount. I would have to say that he has a bit of a dairy sensitivity since we have not had the same problems we were experiencing last week. I am going to keep my stored breastmilk and try to reintroduce him to it after we start solids. I think his stomach might be able to handle it by then. For now, the formula seems to be working and he is much more content.
Just look at that face!!!
